UVPackmaster 4 For Blender Released

Introducing Dynamic Tiles to optimize packing efficiency, along with enhanced texel density management, a new group layout mode for texture atlases, and more.

Lukasz Czyz, also known as glukoz, has released a new version of his fully featured UV packing engine for Blender, with the code significantly reworked after the UVPackmaster 3 architecture became outdated and unable to support upcoming advanced features.

In UVPackmaster 4, enabling Dynamic Tiles allows the packer to automatically determine the optimal number of target tiles, using as many tiles as needed to pack UVs as efficiently as possible.

You can define texel density to be set automatically before packing, on a per-island basis. It's also possible to define texel density "tiers": assign islands to tiers once, then adjust the texel density for each tier at any time without needing to manually reassign individual islands.

A new group layout mode has been added for texture atlas workflows, along with many other functional, UI, and user experience improvements. To learn more about UVPackmaster 4, check out the FAQ.
