Valheim Meets Zelda: This Survival Co-op RPG Lets You Build Giant Castles

Enshrouded is a survival game where you can team up with up to 15 friends to build settlements and castles of epic scale. A demo is now available on Steam.

In case you're looking for a demo to try during October's Steam Next Fest, you should have a look at a fantasy survival game titled Enshrouded, The project, which can be described as a mix of Valheim and Zelda, offers you to battle monsters, craft resources, and even build giant castles.

The development team's original idea was to let players build an entire town with NPCs rather than offer the usual empty outpost where you can meet with your friends. The demo on Steam will let you try several gameplay mechanics: building, fighting, befriending the first Legendary artisan, the Blacksmith, exploring, terraforming, tearing down, leveling up, and more.

One of the highlights, of course, is the game's voxel-based system that lets you build different structures and unleash your creative vision, allowing you to create castles and settlements of epic scale. NPCs will take refuge within your walls and you can set up advanced workshops to craft epic weapons and armor.

Enshrouded also offers you to join with friends in up to a 16-player team. "Carve out unique roles and complementary skills that will prove your worth in battle as together you raid, gather treasure, and overcome the Fell hordes that ravage the land," wrote the team.
