Cheaters will be placed in a low-priority queue or deprived of some options.
Valve
Valve has released an update for its recently announced MOBA Deadlock, which addresses the problem of cheating, updates the matchmaking system, and introduces other in-game novelties like a new minimap.
The company added a low-priority queue, in which users are less likely to be matched for playing. Players will get there because of abandoning games, but other behavior can be a reason why a player is placed in the low priority. It is not specified in the update which behavior will lead the player to a secondary queue, but apparently, it is the means that Valve took to prevent players from cheating. Recently, there's been news that some Deadlock players were using aim bots and wall hacks.
To return to normal playing, players must complete a certain number of games, which "escalates based on low priority frequency." The company also added other kinds of punishment for players who misbehave or cheat – they can lose access to some of the game's capabilities, such as Matchmaking, Voice Chat, Text Chat, Pausing, and Reporting.

Also, in the latest update, Valve removed limitations for the game's matchmaking system, and it is now open round-the-clock in all regions. Deadlock's MMR didn't work as intended, and Valve's dev said that the company planned to fully rewrite it.
As for the new minimap, Neutral Camps are now represented by a highlight glow on the buildings they are located within, and the Orange Lane (Orchard) is now the Green Lane (Greenwich). Besides, the existing maps have also seen some changes. For instance, there are now connections from the Shop to the front of the Department Store and the New York Oracle buildings.
