Valve has banned using the input-automation keyboard feature in Counter-Strike 2, saying that it breaks the game's rules.
The developer underscored that coordination and reaction time are crucial to playing Counter-Strike. "Recently, some hardware features have blurred the line between manual input and automation, so we've decided to draw a clear line on what is or isn't acceptable in Counter-Strike," explained Valve.
The company announced that it would not allow the players to use automation, either through scripting or hardware, avoiding core skills. The players who use those tools will not be banned permanently but may be removed from the match. In-game binds that include more than one movement or attack action will not work anymore to avoid accidental rule-breaking.

This function, known as Snap Tap Mode, was initially realized by Razer in its Huntsman V3 Pro keyboards, followed by DrunkDeer and other brands. The technology makes inputs more responsive and almost immediate by prioritizing the latest input between two selected keys without having to release the previous one.
Valve advised disabling this mode before entering a match.
