Developer Victor Careil, known as the creator of Voxel Plugin, a cool add-on that allows creating fully volumetric, destructible, infinite worlds in Unreal Engine, has recently posted a short Twitter thread, which, presumably, provided a look a brand-new voxel-related plug-in currently in development.
With a series of incredible demos, the developer showcased a cool tool that enables one to render millions of cubic voxels in Unreal Engine 5, asking the audience what they would use such a plug-in for. Assuming the thread does indeed preview an upcoming release, the plug-in is able to run on integrated graphics, supports opaque and translucent voxels, supports editing voxels at runtime, features the abilities to import point clouds into a voxel scene and to shade voxels, and more.
