Video Games Deluxe Will Be Developing GTA San Andreas VR

This is the same team that has brought us L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files.

Last week, during the Facebook Connect showcase, the Oculus team had announced that a VR version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was in development for the Oculus Quest 2. And now, after days of speculating as to who the developer might be, we finally know that Video Games Deluxe, an Australian developer known for L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files port for PC VR and PSVR, is responsible for the upcoming VR version of this iconic game. The team has seemingly confirmed it via LinkedIn, saying that they are "beavering away on one of the world's best-loved games for VR".

Unfortunately, there’s no specific release date yet, we will probably learn more about GTA: San Andreas VR at next year's Oculus Gaming Showcase. What we do know now, however, is that the project will be Oculus Quest 2 exclusive.

What's more, the Video Games Deluxe team is heavily recruiting for this and other projects, which might indicate the necessity to achieve a certain result before Oculus Gaming Showcase. So if you know a thing or two about VR gamedev, here's your chance to become a part of the GTA:SA VR team. You can contact them via LinkedIn or Email.
