Visualizing Scene Depth in the Viewport Tool for Houdini

The creator is planning to release it after polishing.

Javier García Munuera has presented a tool that can visualize and ramp the scene depth in the viewport inside Houdini. You can adjust the minimum and maximum distance for clearer results.

According to the creator's Twitter, it was inspired by the same effect in the 3D collaborative design tool Spline.

Javier used the VEX they found online to get the distance between the points of the geometry and another point, like the camera's pivot.

The tool is not available for download now, but the artist wants to polish it and upload later, so follow them on Twitter and don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.

Custom rock brushes and alpha set, 18 brushes and height/alpha maps + 3 ztool rock meshes.
