Walt Disney Studios teamed up with Microsoft to work on the distribution of their movies in the cloud. The companies have begun a 5-year partnership earlier this year. The innovative collaboration aims to make up new ways of creating, producing and distributing content via the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. Specifically, companies will help speed up the production and postproduction processes at the Walt Disney Studios.
“The cloud has reached a tipping point for the media industry, and it’s not surprising that The Walt Disney Studios, which has its heritage based on a passion for innovation and technology, is at the forefront of this transformation,” said Kate Johnson, president of Microsoft US.
