Warhammer 40k Writer Graham McNeill Is Working on League of Legends MMO

The executive producer of League of Legends MMO Greg Street confirmed that Graham McNeill is involved in the creation of the upcoming game.

Greg Street, the executive producer of League of Legends MMO, recently confirmed that writer Graham McNeill is working on the game's lore.

McNeill is best known as the author of many novels in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. He has written and continues to write a number of pieces for the series. His works include such novels as The Horus Heresy, Iron Warriors, Ultramarines Omnibus, and more.

McNeill joined Riot Games in 2015 as a senior narrative writer primarily creating over-arching story arcs, writing short stories, novellas, comic scripts, champion bios, and scripts. During his time at Riot, he has contributed to the stories of Caitlyn, Azir, Elise, Kai'Sa, and many other Runeterra characters.

Given McNeill's background, players expected him to be working on a League of Legends MMO, and when asked if the writer is helping to create the lore of the upcoming game, Street confirmed in a tweet that McNeil is indeed a part of the MMO team.

Previously, Street also revealed that another Warhammer 40,000 writer, Anthony Reynolds, who is also the author of Ruination, the first-ever novel set in the League of Legends universe, is working on the project.
