Watch Particles Flowing Through Maze in This Fascinating Simulation
Zolden is having fun with Simulario.
You might have seen water going through a maze before, but developer Zolden has another idea: he let 3D particles find their way through one in a nicely made Unity simulation.
"Each particle is following the path of least resistance," the creator said on X/Twitter. "Development of my physics engine is seriously delayed by me playing with fluid simulation."
And play he does in his other tests as well: take, for example, this slightly inappropriate liquid sim or the volcano eruption he made for his physics-based sandbox game Simulario. Its biggest selling point is that all the simulations run on the GPU – quite an unusual solution.
Zolden says the particle sim is well-optimized, so expect to spend a lot of time in Simulario when it's released this year.
