The mod renders the game in CGA video modes.
Wolfenstein 3D was released back in 1992 but it still inspires developers to make mods. One of them is a demake created by James Howard, co-founder of Little Cities studio Purple Yonder.
This version of the classic game runs in CGA video modes, such as four-color RGB, composite CGA, Tandy 160×200 16-color, and LCD inverse monochrome. Howard also modified the engine, so the demake can run on Intel's 8088 CPU released in 1979.
As noted by PCGamesN, the mod renders Wolfenstein 3D in simple colors, making it look and feel even older than it is. It also raises a feeling of nostalgia and a desire to see more such projects.
To play this version, you will need to get a Wolfenstein 3D 1.4 release and convert the original VGA textures, sprites and images as instructed on the mod' GitHub page.
