Dishonored and Prey creative director Rafael Colantonio said he would work on immersive sims "until he dies."
French video game designer Raphael Colantonio has recently hinted at what WolfEye Studios, a studio he's now leading, is going to work on next.
When asked by one of his followers on Twitter whether the next studio's game will be an immersive sim title or the studio plans to experiment with genres, Colantonio explicitly stated that he would continue to work on games in the immersive sim genre. "Immersive sims until I die," the game designer wrote.
In the same thread, Colantonio also asked players whether WolfEye's next project should be a first-person game. The majority of players replied "yes", with some of them noting that it would feel more right for an immersive sim game. So, apparently, we should expect a first-person immersive sim as WolfEye's next title.
Raphael Colantonio is best known as the founder of Arkane and creative director of several of the studio's titles, including the Dishonored series and Prey. After Arkane released Prey in 2017, Colantonio decided to leave the studio to step back from the industry and think about what is important to him and his future. Later he founded his own company, WolfEye Studios. The debut game of the team was the isometric action-RPG Weird West.
