Wonder Dynamics has added a standalone AI motion capture project type to Wonder Studio, its AI tool that can automatically animate, light, and compose a 3D character model into a live-action scene.

What makes the new feature different from the standard Live Action option is the fact that AI MoCap generates only the motion capture data and doesn't render VFX shots. As a result, it uses fewer cloud processing resources and costs fewer credits.
Speaking of credits, Wonder Studio uses a system that allows you to spend your points on what you need. Different project types require a different amount of resources for processing and as such – a different number of credits. For example, one second of Live Action will ask for 20 credits, while one second of AI MoCap needs 4 credits.
Live Action projects output several file types:
- AI MoCap (FBX)
- Clean Plate (PNG, JPG)
- Alpha Masks (PNG)
- Blender Scene (BLEND)
- Rendered VFX Shot (PNG, MP4)
AI MoCap only provides the first type.
To get your credits, you need an account. A Lite subscription, priced at $29.99/month or $299.88/year, gives you 3,000 Credits per month (150 seconds of Live Action or 750 seconds of AI MoCap), and Pro users get 12,000 Credits per month (600 seconds of Live Action or 3,000 seconds of AI MoCap) for $149.99/month or $1,499.88/year.
