"Work from Home Became Work from Whiterun": Player Does His Job in VR Right in Skyrim

"I've done many unspeakable things in Skyrim VR but this might be the most unspeakable."

What if you could do your work not from the boring office or your home but in the fantasy world of Skyrim? Content creator habie147 doesn't need to imagine it: he can answer his emails and work on tasks right inside the beautiful sights of the game.

"Work from home became work from Whiterun," and this actually helped increase productivity, as there's no Reddit or TikTok in Skyrim.

habie147 changed several locations in the game to find the perfect place for his remote job, with the right ambiance and beautiful views, and he was surprised to find out that the experiment actually worked: it was a really productive day for him, he managed to complete his tasks – to not get fired (for now), schedule emails, engage in "random QuickBooks shenanigans," finish a PowerPoint, and "farm contact information."

It started well until he got mugged while minding his work business. The world of Skyrim is no safe space: changing locations led to him meeting a dragon, so eventually, he moved underground to deal with emails among glowing mushrooms.

Alas, this is also not the best place to spend too much time in, and after two hours there, habie147 started to lose his mind.

Still, with some adjustments to make the workplace as stunning and suitable as possible, the creator managed to complete all his tasks.

Bethesda, habie147

"I've done many unspeakable things in Skyrim VR but this might be the most unspeakable," he said, fearing he could get fired for it. Let's hope that doesn't happen and support his other experiments on YouTube
