Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Spent 641 Hours Playing Xbox Games in 2022

Spencer's most-played game of the year was an indie hit Vampire Survivors – the head of Xbox spent 233 hours playing it.

Phil Spencer revealed that he spent 641 hours playing Xbox games in 2022. The Xbox boss shared his gaming statistics for the year on Twitter citing the data from TrueAchievements, the tracking website that collects player data from their Xbox Live accounts, including their achievements and the amount of time players spent playing games on Xbox and Windows.

According to the statistics, in 2022, Spencer played 53 games, scored nearly 10,000 points, and earned 480 achievements playing Xbox titles.

Spencer's top game of 2022 was an indie hit from a solo developer Poncle, Vampire Survivors – the head of Xbox spent 233 hours playing it. He is also nearly done gathering all the achievements collecting 97% of them.

We've already known that Spencer is a huge fan of Poncle's roguelike shoot 'em up – back in November, Spencer's Xbox Live profile on TrueAchievements showed that the Xbox boss spent almost 200 hours in Vampire Survivors within just two weeks after the game was released on Game Pass on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

At the time, Spencer said he was really delighted with the project calling it a "great game." Now, he once again expressed his love for Vampire Survivors adding that he needs to "get those final achievements done."

Vampire Survivors became a massive indie hit of the year – although technically it was released at the end of last year (it was available in early access since December 2021), the full game came out in October 2022 on PC. It was later ported to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and in early December 2022, it became available on mobile devices. The game has had a really warm reception and received two prizes at the recent The Game Awards.
