Xbox Thinks The VR Market Is Too Small Right Now
The head of Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty discussed their take on the VR games.

"I think for us, it’s just a bit of wait until there’s an audience there," the manager says. "We’re very fortunate that we have got these big IPs that have turned into ongoing franchises with big communities.
We have 10 games that have achieved over 10 million players life-to-date, which is a pretty big accomplishment, but that’s the kind of scale that we need to see success for the game and it’s just, it’s not quite there yet with AR, VR."
As for their main rival, Sony president Hiroki Totoki previously said PlayStation VR2 had a "good chance" of outselling its elder sibling which had sold five million units by the end of 2019. PSVR2 reportedly sold around 600K units during its first six weeks. In the meantime, Meta has sold around 20 million of its Quest VR headsets, the company reported this year.
