Xiaomi Revealed Its First Humanoid Robot CyberOne

It can perceive 3D space and recognize individuals, gestures, and emotions.

Xiaomi showcased its first humanoid robot CyberOne, which can recognize people and detect emotions. It also has advanced vision capabilities and functionality allowing it to create 3D virtual reconstructions of the real world.

"Equipped with a self-developed Mi-Sense depth vision module and combined with an AI interaction algorithm, CyberOne is capable of perceiving 3D space, as well as recognizing individuals, gestures, and expressions, allowing it to not only see but to process its environment."

Its AI and mechanical capabilities are developed by Xiaomi Robotics Lab. Lei Jun, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group, said the company invested in R&D in various areas, including software, hardware, and algorithms innovation.

CyberOne is 177cm tall and weighs 52kg, with an arm span of 168cm. It is capable of holding up to 1.5kg in weight with a single hand. Thanks to MiAI environment semantics recognition engine and a MiAI vocal emotion identification engine, it can recognize 85 types of environmental sounds and 45 classifications of human emotion. It can detect happiness and even comfort the user.

CyberOne still has a long way to go, but Xiaomi plans to apply its technology to more products in the future.
