A while ago, we showcased Mirza Beig's exciting new Unity experiment featuring a chromatic distortion bubble shader accompanied by a video tutorial, a free file, and a promise to share more iterations of this project in the future.
The artist then unveiled the next part of the tutorial, focusing on adding a rim glow using fresnel to the shader, and teased the future update, mentioning saving references for Zenless Zone Zero's Hollows, supernatural realms appearing as spherical dimensions scattered across the game world.
No textures – everything is procedural within the shader and applied to a sphere, along with custom post-processing.
