Ofer Rubinstein is a solo indie developer from Israel who has been building games since the age of 16, over 30 years of making things almost entirely on his own, from the code to the art to the music. A software engineer by career, he was among the first in Israel to independently study DirectX and OpenGL, later expanding into CUDA and GPU-accelerated computer vision work. That technical depth shows in his games: across several genres and mechanics, each project carries the fingerprints of someone who learned by doing, not by following a template. Raised on SEGA consoles, he has always chased that same feeling of classic game design meeting a fresh idea, familiar enough to feel good, different enough to make you look twice.
What they are building
GOLEL
A first-person dungeon crawler with a twist on turn-based combat. Environments that fight back. Bookshelves that drop. Pits that wait. Golel turns every room into a weapon.
