The Marmalade SDK is a powerful cross platform tool that enables developers to deploy code across multiple platforms and devices from a single code base. Marmalade takes the pain out of cross platform development by taking care of the platform differences for you. At the core of Marmalade is the C++ SDK which provides developers with the maximum performance and flexibility. Marmalade Quick, Web Marmalade and Marmalade Juice all build on top of the Marmalade C++ SDK but provide alternative solutions for developers who prefer to use Lua, HTML or Objective-C.
C++ stack
This is the core of the Marmalade SDK, it provides developers with direct access to the device’s hardware for maximum performance as well as a plethora of middleware and utility modules to assist you in creating amazing apps. It’s C/C++ based, open and flexible.
Quick stack
Marmalade Quick is a RAD tool for creating 2D games and apps. Apps are written using Lua, a fast and lightweight scripting language. Marmalade Quick is built on top of the Marmalade C++ SDK and leverages Cocos2D-X, Box2D middleware.
Web Marmalade stack
Web Marmalade allows developers to quickly and easily create hybrid apps using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. Web Marmalade is built on top of the Marmalade C++ SDK and includes a fast web/native bridge to provide access to native APIs and features from web applications.
Marmalade Juice stack
Marmalade Juice allows developers to take native iOS projects and using typical iOS frameworks deploy them quickly and easily to Android and other platforms.
