1 Million PlayStation Users Play Call of Duty Only

No other games are allowed in their schedule.

The FTC vs. Microsoft hearing keeps delivering fascinating information. This time, a badly redacted document revealed not only how much PlayStation makes from Call of Duty but also how many people play it exclusively. Apparently, 1 million users play Call of Duty only, no other games, even free ones.

the revelation comes from Jim Ryan's letter deciphered by The Verge:

"In 2021, over [14?] million users (by device) spent 30 percent or more of their time playing Call of Duty, over 6 million users spent more than 70% of their time on Call of Duty, and about 1 million users spent 100% of their gaming time on Call of Duty. In 2021, Call of Duty players spent an average of [116?] hours per year playing Call of Duty. Call of Duty players spending more than 70 percent of their time on Call of Duty spent an average of 296 hours on the franchise."

It means the loss of CoD on the console would be a huge hit on Sony's revenues, considering it earned $800 million in the US alone in 2021 and something like $1.5 billion worldwide. The same players spent $15.9 billion per year, on average, on other PS stuff, including hardware, accessories, games, and services from 2019 to 2021.

This is some hardcore dedication. What do you think? How much time do you spend playing CoD?
