Valve may have experienced one of the largest leaks, with 12 TB of internal builds of some of its titles, including Half-Life 2: Episode Three, Portal 2, Left 4 Dead, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, alongside other games from the Steam library, like GTA 5, appearing online. 

The leak, spotted on August 29, includes materials from 2003 to 2013, right around the time Steam upgraded from its old Steam2 setup to SteamPipe. The materials are chunks of information obtained by data miners, with no known original source. As Gabe Follower notes, most of them are early builds of the old games. 

One of the most attention-grabbing parts of the leaked materials is early builds for Portal 2. One of them is material for a game that was eventually replaced in Portal 2: F-Stop, where players had to transfer objects to another location by capturing them on camera. Another glimpse of the portal-based eerie game is a gel that changes how players interact with the environment through physics.

The archive also contains CS: GO builds, including one dated March 23, 2011, with never-before-seen maps and character models. Left 4 Dead and Dota 2 materials also feature unreleased maps that look different from the ones that made it to the final version. One notable find in the leak is the Weaponizer, a weapon that never made it past development, rumored to have been planned for Half-Life 2's canceled third episode.
