Take a look at this fascinating animation crafted by 3D Artist and Technical Director Matt Taylor. In the artwork, the creator visualized a 3D model of a famous wristwatch as a mathematical object, the Möbius strip.
The creator took the 3D prop of the Junghans Max Bill Automatic watch, designed by Swiss Artist and Designer Max Bill, and turned it into the renowned loop of Möbius, a surface formed by attaching the ends of a strip together with a half-twist. The result is a mesmerizing, mind-blowing animation. At first glance, it looks like a regular visualization of a watch that can be used for commercials, but if you take a closer look, you will notice the peculiarity. Interestingly, as the Möbius is a real object used in constructing conveyor belt systems, theoretically, you can recreate the visualization in real life.
