Great news from Autodesk.
Autodesk will make 3ds Max Indie, a $250/year subscription for artists earning under $100,000/year, available to more countries.
Little is known about a timescale, but the team states that the Indie subscription is now more than just a pilot program. 3ds Max Indie offers developers with gross annual revenue under $100,000/year a single license of the full version of the tool.
The program, originally described as a “limited-time offer”, is now available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the US.
The announcement was made during the Q&As at the last week’s livestream dedicated to the release of 3DS Max 2020, reported CG Channel. Chip Weatherman, Autodesk’s chief product owner for 3ds Max, noted that Autodesk “will be putting it out worldwide at some point”.
