Senior Gameplay Animator at Insomniac Games

Insomniac Games is looking for a new Senior Gameplay Animator responsible for creating gameplay animation at the highest quality level set by Lead Animators and Animation Directors. Developing high-quality animations for gameplay characters, in line with artistic direction and technical standards, is the core of the role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality animations for gameplay characters, ensuring alignment with artistic direction and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with Designers and Programmers to implement animations in the engine using expert skills in Maya and proprietary engine tools.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise.
  • Ability to utilize motion capture data and hand key animation to create believable characters.
  • Gameplay responsibilities can include hero traversal, combat, boss, gameplay camera cinematography, mission and open world animations at the highest level using advanced skills in game engine tools.
  • Work with the Animation team to guarantee cohesive execution of the established animation direction across the game, providing constructive feedback as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with other disciplines, including Designers, Programmers, Writers, Project Managers, Art, Audio, Character and Rigging teams, to resolve issues and achieve project goals.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Contract Technical Cinematic Designer at Mob Entertainment

Mob Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled Technical Cinematic Designer to join the team and help bring its narrative-driven experiences to life. Designing, implementing, and polishing real-time cinematics using Unreal Sequencer – camera work and cinematic transitions included – is the heart of the job.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in cinematic or narrative design for games, preferably in AAA or high-quality indie projects.
  • Expert proficiency with Unreal Engine and Level Sequences.
  • Strong understanding of real-time narrative systems, including scripting, triggers, and state machines.
  • Demonstrated ability to create visually compelling cinematic sequences in-engine.
  • Familiarity with Blueprints and/or scripting for cinematic logic and tool creation.
  • Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
  • A strong portfolio or reel showcasing cinematic work in Unreal Engine.

Senior Game Designer at Respawn Entertainment

Apex Legends is looking for a Senior Game Designer who will help us create exciting and innovative new characters. You'll work on new Legends from early prototype through release. You have experience on a live service game in character design, and have strong enough technical and scripting abilities to work independently.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a game designer on a multiplayer game.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping and iterative design.
  • Understanding of game feel and polish.
  • Solid technical understanding of scripting and 3D action game fundamentals.
  • Strong track record in design and balance.
  • Played and formed a lot of opinions about many live games.
  • Strong opinions on how the team could do better, and a drive to accomplish them.

What skills you will use:

  • 3+ years of industry experience in Level Design for games.
  • Experience blocking out environments for games using 3D software packages such as Maya, Unreal Editor, or otherwise, that exemplify understanding of level design fundamentals.
  • Experience using a game editor such as Unreal Editor, and scripting/programming using a language such as C#, Lua, Python, or Visual Scripting.
  • Excitement for learning and growing as a designer.
  • Keen to develop new skills.
  • Proficient and effective communication skills.
  • Welcomes criticism and has experience collaborating as part of a team, innovating without losing sight of the gameplay vision.
  • Understanding of the single-player gaming landscape.
  • Maintains knowledge of the broader gaming landscape trends.
