A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Baldur's Gate 3's Orthon Yurgir

Larian's Artem Shapiro shared a collection of WIP renders, demonstrating the NPC from the artist's point of view.

Artem Shapiro, a Senior 3D Character Artist at Larian Studios, has recently shared a new collection of behind-the-scenes renders, providing a closer look at the studio's masterpiece title and one of the greatest games of 2023 – Baldur's Gate 3.

Shared via the author's personal ArtStation page, the new collection features some amazing WIP renders of Orthon Yurgir, one of BG3's NPCs located in Act 2's Gauntlet of Shar. According to the artist, the model is based on a concept by 3D/2D Generalist Maxime Ponslet and was created using ZBrush, Substance 3D Designer, and Photoshop. Attached below are some of the renders shared by Artem, you can check out more by clicking this link:

Previously, the artist also offered a closer look at Dragonborn male and female heads, Baldur's Gate 3's armor sets, and more. You can check out the earlier collections here.
