Thanks to Rodolfo Damaggio, you can now learn more about the digital environments created for the series.
Renowned 3D Artist and Concept Designer Rodolfo Damaggio has recently shared a new post on ArtStation, providing a comprehensive behind-the-scenes look at some of the digital locations created for The Rings of Power, Amazon's recent TV series based on J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings."
According to the post, the environments were created by the production crew's Art Department, which included Rodolfo himself, John Howe, Simon Murton, Seth Engstrom, Robert Castro, Mauro Borelli, Gerhard Mozsi, and Andrew Leung. In order to make these gorgeous landscapes and incredible buildings, the team utilized Maya, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop, and World Machine, a powerful procedural tool for creating realistic-looking terrain.
