A Closer Look At How Arknights: Endfield's Characters Climb Stairs
Really impressive attention to detail.
The spinoff of Hypergryph's tower defense game, Arknights, launched almost a month ago, offering a fresh take on the gacha game genre popularized in recent years by titles like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves. Compared to these games, Arknights: Endfield features less intense motion, giving the impression that the developers put extra care into crafting the everyday movements of the characters.
In this clip, you can see the character naturally adjusting her stride for each stair, sometimes skipping a step or adding an extra one, which makes it really fun to watch. It's a great example of inverse kinematics in action, and it really shows how far we've come in achieving realistic stair movement.
