A Closer Look At Warwick's Rig In Riot Games' 2XKO

Here's some behind-the-scenes content from the free League of Legends fighting game.

Riot Games' 2XKO is a free-to-play 2v2 fighting game featuring iconic champions from League of Legends, which has just entered early access. Rigging Technical Artist Mason Smigel revealed that, besides his usual work supporting cosmetics, he was responsible for the rig of the wolf-like beast Warwick, implementing Unreal Engine physics, general techart troubleshooting, and Warwick's first skin.

"By far the most fun (and most challenging) aspect was developing a new facial component based on the system setup by Alyssa Diaz. This work included building prototypes and planning an optimized joint layout before developing the 'real' rig component that would still allow our animators to hit the expressions from the concepts while being concise in joint count", shared Mason.

With respect, I don't think the author knows the difference between the rig of a model and animation.

If they do, then If you're going to name the article verbatim "A Closer Look At Warwick's Rig" perhaps consider including a look at Warwicks rig.
