A Closer Look at Weapons of Alan Wake 2

Check out these awesome weapons skilfully crafted by Pedro Amorim.

Pedro Amorim, a talented Senior Hardsurface Artist working at Remedy Entertainment, recently shared some impressive weapons.

Even though Amorim wasn't featured earlier on our 80 Level website, we actually heard a lot about the artist's talent and how other creators were inspired by Amorim. For example, in 2016, we talked with Jake Oliver, who walked us through the production of beautiful winter game environments and shared that Amorim's script helped a lot during the creation process. Another example is Henrique Lopes and Micah Reigstad, who gave us an interview delving into the production of the animated Rhino Revolver 60 DS they collaborated on. In their case, Amorim was one of those artists who drove and motivated them.

So, it's time to have a look at the incredible pieces of artwork made by Pedro. Below you can find some cool wooden weapons created with the help of 3ds Mas, ZBrush, and Substance 3D Painter that Pedro shared on his ArtStation profile.

As you have already noticed, those are the guns that were made for Alan Wake 2. The master of weapons' ArtStation profile features more weapons. Have a look at Alan's revolver made by Pedro and high-polyed by Vitaliy Ishkov.

Pedro also shared Alex Casey's pistol, check it out below:

If you want to learn more about the world of weapons and how to create them, you might want to take a look at the interview we conducted recently. Denis Malakhov shared with us his experience in this sphere and walked us through the process of creating a hand saw.
