A Customizable Utility Pole Generator Made With Geometry Nodes

The poles and power lines created with this system can dynamically interact with objects around them.

Pavel Oliva, a 3D Artist and the developer of the acclaimed Buildify library, has unveiled a cool new generator made with Geometry Nodes. This time, the artist has managed to set up a complex system that can create realistic-looking utility poles with power lines stretching alongside them.

According to a short demo shared by the author, the system is highly customizable, allowing its users to rotate and move the poles themselves and change the length of the power lines. Moreover, the system is also capable of dynamically interacting with particular objects around, allowing one to connect the generated cables to other objects in Blender. In the future, the creator plans to release a comprehensive tutorial on the creation of this system that would serve as a beginner introduction to Geometry Nodes.
