A Fantastic Castle Made With RealityCapture & Blender

Freelance Artist Ehsan Dabbaghi has managed too turn a tree stump into a mountain castle using photogrammetry.

Here on 80 Level, we have seen our fair share of stunning photogrammetry-based projects, but this one is definitely one of the most atypical. Freelance Artist Ehsan Dabbaghi has created a fantastic mountain castle using a photogrammetry-based workflow. The scans were made using RealityCapture, a software capable of creating high-fidelity 3D models from photos, and turned into a final environment with the help of Blender. For statues, the artist used this pack, made by Solmaz Hadavand, Sahar Afshari, and Ehsan Yazdani.

The craziest thing is that to make this project, Ehsan didn't scan a mountain or a castle but a tree stump instead. According to the artist, he saw a broken stump on the street and decided to turn it into something beautiful. The stump itself was turned into the mountain and the bark transformed into the castle and various rock formations.

And here are some other projects made by Ehsan:

We highly encourage you to visit the artist's ArtStation page to check out more fantastic projects. Also, don't forget to join our new Reddit pageour new Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
