A Fantastic Glass Shader Made in Unreal Engine

Have a look at this top-of-the-line glass shader created by Hannah Grace.

Hannah Grace, a Shader Artist and Art Lead at Automation Game has demonstrated a fantastic glass shader and a collection of various car headlights made using it. According to Hannah, to create the shader, a combination of transparent glass and an opaque reflector is used. The bulb, attached to the reflector, is masked by temporal anti-aliasing to appear translucent. The shader was made using Unreal Engine 4.

Here is the shader in motion and the cut-through:

The artist also challenges developers to make a better glass shader, so if you are up to the task, you can visit Hannah's Twitter account.
