A Forest Scene in UE5 Made With Photogrammetry Assets From RealityCapture

Check out a scene by Alexandre Martin and a video tutorial by William Faucher.

3D Artist Alexandre Martin shared a cool project where he decided to mix photogrammetry assets and Unreal Engine 5. For this forest scene, Martin took some photos of this little house with a phone. Then, the artist used RealityCapture to export the fbx and imported it into Unreal Engine 5.

You can find the final render and WIP shots below:

Reference

To build the scene, Martin also used Megascans and SpeedTree. Martin wrote he plans to use a drone to capture more assets in the future. Learn more about the project here

In case you want to try a similar approach, William Faucher has a nice tutorial that covers the process of 3D scanning a 300-year-old log house in central Norway and building it with the help of photogrammetry for Unreal Engine 5. The tutorial covers the recommended camera specs and settings, converting your photos into a fully detailed and textured 3D model, plus more. You can find it below.
