A Free Substance 3D Designer Survival Kit for Beginners

Made by Vincent Dérozier, Senior Material Artist at Eidos Montreal, the Kit is an introduction to Substance 3D Designer that is meant to help users by providing simple node recipes with explanations.

Part 1 of the Kit is about the basics: shapes, volume creation, blending, sculpting, noise management, and vocabulary needed to create a material. Dérozier promised to release several parts, each connected with a certain topic.

The creator warns that the Survival Kit is not a tutorial or exhaustive documentation but rather a glossary, so if you want to master Substance 3D Designer, you should consider including additional materials in your studies.
