The community will fix bugs, errors, and "other inconsistencies" that might be present in the game.
Starfield is planned to be released in 2023, but the fans are already gathering in the Starfield Community Patch project to patch the game. Seems like they know what to expect from Bethesda.
Starfield Community Patch aims to improve the vanilla experience for the players. It will fix bugs, errors, and "other inconsistencies present in the game," including tweaks, typos, and other changes that may have been missed by the developers.
The community will not add new content, balance changes, or anything that might not conform to the original vision of the game. The modders will work on:
- Misplaced objects
- Script errors
- Inconsistencies in item properties
- Faulty missions/quests
- Game-breaking exploits
- Missing attributes (such as tags, header flags, etc.)
- Spelling errors
The releases will be available on Nexus Mods and will not require payment, although you can donate to the cause. The donations will be distributed among the core contributors, according to the Community Patch's page.
If you're not a modder but want to help the project, you can report bugs or request a fix for a bug.
