A Houdini Tool Used For Pipes In The Ascent

Here's one more procedural tool Magnus Larsson set up to speed up the production process.

Technical Artist Magnus Larsson shared a look at another Houdini tool called "NG_Pipe_Maker" that was used to quickly add pipes to the world of The Ascent.

The artist noted that they used two tools: the "NG_Pipe_Maker" tool which is an HDA tool used inside Unreal to draw pipes. The second Houdini tool, called "NG_Pipe_Set_Generator", was used to generate mesh module sets.

This second tool created a set of 34 pipes modules from a base profile, plus a .json file which then was used inside Unreal together with the "NG_Pipe_Maker".
