Lead Environment Artist at Respawn Entertainment Kevin Quinn, who worked as a Level Lead for Niflheim, a cold and icy location featured in Santa Monica's God of War: Ragnarök, has recently shared a series of breakdowns, providing a closer look at the location's ice and snow.
Throughout several ArtStation posts, the creator showcased the ice and snow textures and materials made for Niflheim using ZBrush, Houdini, and Substance 3D Painter, demonstrated some of the procedural ice models created for the level with Houdini and Redshift, shared a look at the card models and Houdini-powered tools used to set up the location, and much more.
