A Madlad From China Builds Himself a Fleet of Flying Drone-Swords
Unlimited blade drone works!
Fan Shisan, a Chinese content creator and two-time Guinness World Record holder, continues to combine his passions for drones and swordsmanship with a new mind-blowing project, this time building a small fleet of flying sword-shaped drones that he can also control with hand gestures, because why the heck not.
Shared with English-speaking audiences via the chinafocus_official TikTok account, the experiment features about two dozen Wuxia-inspired blade quadcopters maneuvered using motion sensors strapped to Fan's hands.
His stated goal is to eventually build "ten thousand swords" that move "as one" – a massive leap from the ~20 shown in the video, but given that he already managed to create a sword hoverboard back in 2024, it doesn't seem entirely out of reach.
