Rahul "DoubleGum" Parihar demonstrated a stylized grass sim made using Geometry Nodes.
Shader Artist and Blender enthusiast Rahul "DoubleGum" Parihar, who last week showcased a physically accurate rain simulation, continues previewing the soon-to-be-released Komikaze v2 add-on for Blender with one more incredible demo.
This week, the artist impressed us with an amazing NPR grass modifier that one will be able to use for creating stylized grass fields, chia pets, and such. According to Rahul, this incredible modifier, alongside the previously mentioned rain simulation and 20 other setups will be available in less than two days with the release of Komikaze v2.
For those unaware, Komikaze is Rahul's extensive compilation of shaders, materials, effects, demos, and various assets specifically designed to cater to the requirements of comic and toon art. It is built to create stylized non-photorealistic (NPR) renders and seamlessly integrates with Blender EEVEE, ensuring optimal real-time rendering performance. Each material is accompanied by its own unique node, allowing for easy control over colors, textures, and mappings, facilitating a swift and adaptable workflow.
Previously, the author also demonstrated a couple of great real-time shaders created for Komikaze that allow you to apply an appealing hatching effect to your models:
And back in July, Rahul unveiled "Across The ShaderVerse", a neat shader inspired by Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, also made for Komikaze:
