As many Bethesda fans have come to realize over the years, with every impressive detail the studio introduces into its games, there's often a corresponding aspect that detracts from the overall experience and sours it in some way. In the case of Starfield, a prime example of this pattern is undoubtedly the game's food models. On their own, these models appear incredibly appetizing, but their charm is sadly marred by the unattractive plastic containers in which the developers placed them.

Luckily, there's now a mod that fixes this unfortunate oversight, presenting Starfield's food in all the glory it deserves. Meet "Plated not Crated", a neat model replacement mod shared by Modder Me444, described by the author as the "mod you didn't know you need until you see it".

First spotted by PC Gamer, the mod replaces the plastic container models for certain food items in Starfield and presents them on plates or trays instead. This simple change enhances the visual appeal of the game's dishes tenfold, making them more aesthetically pleasing and delicious in the eyes of players. Attached below are some of the screenshots shared by the creator, you can see more and download the mod yourself by clicking this link:

Previously, modders also shared a "mod of all mods" for Starfield that expands the game's scripting capabilities, added seamless space travel to the game, and even improved the game's visuals with an HD textures mod.

Other less serious modifications include a fun mod that completely retextures Vasco, one of Starfield's companions, transforming the robot into a futuristic rendition of Thomas the Tank Engine and a great mod that adds photos of Phil Spencer, Todd Howard, and Nicolas Cage to the light emitted by the flashlight.
