Solo Game Developer David Donze, who specializes primarily in developing games for mobile devices, has published a new tech demo showcasing a WiP racing game that looks and feels like the aforementioned classics.
According to the developer, the car model itself was made with sprite stacking, a special technique that allows one to create pixel-art-looking models. The game is powered by custom code and is being developed as a mobile-first project. However, David also plans to release this old-school racing simulator on PCs once it is complete.
