A Non-Traditional Fantasy RPG Where You Place a Piece of Bread Into a Wound to Heal

If you get tired of all the traditional RPGs with similar gameplay, the RPG introduced in this article might make you feel refreshed. 

The RPG is what it is called. It's an “RPG-lite adventure with intentionally twisted traditional role-playing games aspects.” In this game, you get stuck on an adventure island with a local attraction, the dungeon, which is equipped with an elevator where you can choose a floor to go down, explore, combat, loot to gain experiences and level up. 

One of the floors is a technical one, where workers need to make sure the torches are lit, traps are working, and monsters are healed after a raid. The story could be completely flipped if you reach the lowest floors of the dungeon, finding the gritty secrets hidden there. 

Your choices truly matter in this non-traditional fantasy RPG. Choose a side between the king, who keeps the things how they are, or the monsters, who’d like to end the endless cycle of respawning, leading their rebellion, and setting them free.

Some different approaches are about to be encountered. For example, you don't need to eat food to heal; simply inserting a piece of bread into a wound would work; also, there's no need to sort out your loot to be sold to a merchant, because you can sell them by weight. Fast travel can be achieved by shooting yourself afar in a cannon. The game has an inventory and leveling up, but there are no complex skill trees or inventory management.

The developers at Dionysus Acroreites studio aim to blend elements from Minimalistic Skyrim, West of Loathing, and Supraland in this upcoming title. The RPG is scheduled to be released later in 2025. The demo version of the game, which offers an hour of content where you can explore the world, is available on Steam for download.
