Investigate the murder of Laura Palmer in this free-to-play love letter to the legendary TV series developed by Blue Rose Team.
Blue Rose Team, an indie game development studio consisting of two developers, has released a demo version of Twin Peaks: Into the Night, a PSX-style fan-made game adaptation of the eponymous series created by Mark Frost and David Lynch.
Developed as a love letter to the legendary 90s TV series, the game immerses you directly into the unique atmosphere of the show, tasking you to investigate the murder of Laura Palmer, a high-school student whose death is the catalyst for the events of the series itself, playing as Special Agent Dale Cooper, the protagonist of the show.
The team also emphasizes that Twin Peaks: Into the Night is strictly a fan-made homage to the original series and is not affiliated with the show's creators in any way. As such, the project isn't meant for commercial purposes and is available to everyone free of charge.
"February 24th, 1989. This morning, in the town of Twin Peaks, Washington, a dead body is discovered down by the shore. Wrapped in plastic," reads the game's description, paying tribute to the opening of the show. "When special agent Dale Cooper is called out to investigate the recent murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer, mysterious events begin to occur."
