Activision has recently revealed the release date of the long-awaited Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in a new teaser trailer. The team announced the game is launching on November 10.

Unfortunately, recent video trailers didn't share much information so fans started speculating. While we knew the game will continue the story from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, players wondered about the price of the game and whether they can upgrade from the previous chapter for a special price.

Activision commented on the price of the next Modern Warfare chapter and whether it's going to be considered a DLC for the previous part. The company says Modern Warfare III is a full premium release that will be priced at $70. The team added the game will not have an upgrade price, and won't be an expansion.

"As stated in numerous Activision Blizzard quarterly conference calls, Modern Warfare III is a premium release. It will be priced accordingly at $70 USD,” an Activision spokesperson said.

As for the game being listed as an add-on on Steam, the reason is that all Call of Duty games will be add-ons for the Call of Duty HQ app going forward. The company wants to connect all Call of Duty games in one launcher.

In other news, Activision has recently shared that operators, weapons, and bundles from Modern Warfare 2 will be transferred to Modern Warfare 3. Learn more here
