The setup enables one to control the engine's Editor using text prompts.
Unity Developer and AI enthusiast Keijiro Takahashi, who earlier this month showcased AI Shader, a ChatGPT-powered shader generator for Unity, continues the series of experiments with OpenAI's renowned chatbot with yet another incredible setup.
This time, the developer unveiled AICommand, a proof-of-concept integration of ChatGPT into Unity Editor that enables one to control the engine's Editor using natural language prompts. According to the creator, the project supports the English and Japanese languages, works with Unity 2022.2 or higher, and requires you to generate an API key to use the ChatGPT API and then set it on the Project Settings page in Unity.
"I created this proof-of-concept and proved that it doesn't work yet," commented the developer on whether the setup is practical or not. "It works nicely in some cases and fails very poorly in others. I got several ideas from those successes and failures, which is this project's main aim."
