Akira Yamaoka Would Love to Compose for Resident Evil

The legend spent a lot of time with the horror series.

The team behind the city-building strategy DarkSwitch, for which Akira Yamaoka composed the soundtrack, posted a new video in which the master answered various questions.

Among other things, he was asked which franchise he would most like to work on.

The composer expressed his desire to be involved in creating music for Resident Evil. Akira Yamaoka shared that these are horror games he has spent a lot of time with.

Yamaoka has been the long-time co-creator of Silent Hill, writing music for the series since the first installment, released in 1999. He has also worked on mobile spin-offs, the recent remake of the second game, and the upcoming Silent Hill f.

You can find the full video here. Previously, Silent Hill f, the first game in the franchise to get an 18+ ESRB rating in Japan, has received a release date and a new trailer.
