Alan Wake Developer Remedy Provided Updates on Its Projects

The studio shared the state of Alan Wake 2, Control spin-off, Vanguard, and Max Payne remakes.

Alan Wake and Control developer Remedy Entertainment shared its financial report where it made a statement about the various projects in development.

First of all, CEO Tero Virtala said that the highly anticipated Alan Wake 2 is in the full production stage. "A lot of work remains, but the game is starting to take a more complete form in many areas. As communicated earlier, Alan Wake 2 will be released in 2023."

The free-to-play co-operative game codenamed Vanguard, which will be co-published with Tencent, "has made good progress since the previous quarter. The project is in the proof-of-concept stage."

The studio is also working on Condor – a spin-off game of Control, which is in the proof-of-concept stage now. A bigger Control game codenamed Heron is in the concept stage.

Earlier, the company announced a partnership with Rockstar Games to remake Max Payne and Max Payne 2. "The public reception to this announcement was overwhelmingly positive," noted Virtala but didn't specify any dates.

Remedy is planning to release the projects between 2023 and 2025, so it seems we'll see Alan Wake 2 first.
