See what's new in the first major update since last year.
AMD has launched FSR SDK 2.2, the first major update since the December 2025 launch of FSR Redstone SDK. This release introduces two major enhancements: FSR Upscaling 4.1, which offers better image quality in motion along with upgraded ultra-performance and dynamic resolution scaling modes, and FSR Ray Regeneration 1.1, a ML-powered real-time denoiser, delivering improved quality and memory efficiency, plus new debug view options.
A screenshot at the top of the page showcases FSR Ray Regeneration 1.1 in action, featured in Crimson Desert, the first game to implement the technology. You can see an example of the FSR Upscaling 4.1 improvements below:
FSR SDK 2.2 offers four neural rendering features: FSR Upscaling, FSR Frame Generation, FSR Ray Regeneration, and FSR Radiance Caching. This release also marks a branding update for the SDK: previously known as FidelityFX SDK, it is now officially renamed FSR SDK.
