Advanced Micro Devices (ADM) showed a new Ryzen 3 processor and a Navi graphics processing unit that will compete with Intel’s technologies.

The Ryzen 9 3950X has 16 cores, 32 threads, 3.5 GHz base frequency, 4.7-GHz boost frequency, and 72 MB of cache. It runs on 105 watts and will be available for purchase in September, said the CEO of AMD – Lisa Su. She also mentioned that it’s competitive with Intel i9-9900K processor (3.1 GHz base and 4.4 GHz boost frequency) at less than half the price of what Intel is asking.

Meanwhile, AMD also showed us Radeon RX 5700 Series, which uses the RDNA graphics architecture.

AMD said that the Navi-based Radeon 5700 Series has drastically improved. It now has 50% better performance per watt than the previous AMD Vega graphics architecture and is based on the RDNA graphics core architecture. AMD has also shifted to 7-nanometer manufacturing (which is the same as Intel’s 10-nanometer manufacturing).

“Everything that we’re showing you here in 2019, is a result of decisions that we made three to five years ago,” Su said. “And you never know whether you’re right, frankly, you have to bet ahead of the game. But we believe we made some really good decisions.”

As for now, it really looks like the rebirth of Radeon and game-changing of the whole industry. Let’s wait till September until we all can take our hands on these newest technologies.
